"Right." said Harry tersely. - Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix - Occlumency Just wanted to give expressions a try.   P.S. Did you know what Snape teaches as Occlumency is the core concept of Eastern Mysticism? What Snape assigns Harry to do every night - i.e. to make his mind blank and to empty it of thoughts and emotions - is what is tried to be achieved at meditation sessions. It takes a long time, and not anybody can do that, but once a person manages to empty his mind, he gains "enlightenment". Hmm, I wonder if Snape and the Wizarding World were familiar with old Eastern mystic schools. |
